Poncho

WEARING:
BOOTS FOREVER21 (SOLD OUT, BUT SIMILAR)
BAG FOREVER21, SOLD OUT BUT LOVE THIS HM ONE
SHORTS VINTAGE, SIMILAR
GLASSES STEVE MADDEN

Hi, all!
It's great being back, it seems like I have ignored my blog more than enough. How do you guys combine active blogging, full time job, family and friends especially around the holidays - do share, because I seem to never have time!!!
Despite it being december already, it sure doesn't feel like it here in Florida during the day. But come dust you could feel the breeze, and that's when this poncho comes in (happy dance)! I have been eyeing it forever uncertain if I am going to get enough use out of it, but let me tell you, the second I put it on, I knew it's staying with me - super comfy and warm, and so convenient as you can take it off any time, or wear it on one shoulder (like on Burberry runway).
I chose over the knee boots and high waisted shorts (a la Olivia Palermo), but have so many ideas with it, and more outfits will definitely appear on this blog very soon. Stay tuned

Plaid and Lace

WEARING:
DRESS ZARA (last season, but love this one and this one)
BAG HM
SHOES (similar) AND SWEATER FOREVER21
HAT ASOS

As temperatures jump up and down here in Florida, you can now feel the approaching of fall. It's getting much cooler, and even crispy in the mornings as well as after the setting of the sun. This is the perfect time for layering and mixing textures: knits and lace just put me in the right mood this fall. After being oh so popular last fall season, plaid is back again (or did it ever go away??), and I could not resit this coat - super soft with a great print and just the right length I needed, since I have several longer coats. My new turtleneck sweater with slits is a perfect piece for this transition period, so soft and cozy with a twist. The new shoes that I by the way intended exceptionally for work turned out a huge hit and I get compliments everywhere I go.

Love, M.

Like good old times

THRIFTED COAT (SIMILAR HERE
LEGGINGS MARSHALL'S (SIMILAR HERE)
BAG HM (LOVE THIS ONE!)
BOOTS FOREVER21 (SIMILAR HERE)

It's always so strange walking along the streets you walked a million times: on your way to university every day, you thought you knew every turn, every advertisement, every little nook and cranny; or even streets you grew up on playing hide-and seek with your friends. And now they all look different, all still the same but so different, with new buildings rising up, and old giving in and retiring, it's sad and fascinationg at the same time, but mostly sad. Sad seeing things you grew up in love with inevitably vanishing, things and people both. That old tree that was your hide away spot, that vineyard in your neighbors yard that smelled amazing, your dog, your cat, your grandparents, uncles etc.....
It kinda sucks growing up, not just due to wrinkles and health issues, but mostly because you sadly come to realize that nothing (and nobody) lasts forever. And loosing things (AND PEOPLE) truly hurts.

On a positive note I am truly enjoying this time with my family. It's just always a bitter sweet seeing them for a few days knowing I'll be gone again for at least a few months, and I just get a bit nostalgic of good old times when we were all together and nobody had to leave.
Or maybe I just get sentimental as I grow older. Maybe we all do...

Red and Plaid

WEARING:
SHEINSIDE.COM LEATHER JACKET
FOREVER21 LEATHER PANTS, SCARF AND BOOTS

I felt the difference in weather right as I walked out into the city of Moscow. Felt... no, I - shivered...! So I hoped as I travel home down south the weather would change. And it did - for the worse. It doesn't happen very often, but here, by the Black Sea, it's even colder than in the so called "middle strip" (Central Part of Russia). We got soaking wet taking these and I was so scared for my camera and this new Phillip Lim look-a-like, thank God it's pretty well made!! It goes with everything too. Had I known i would be so nasty I would have taken warmer clothes, but leather and plaid are always a do, especially in the fall. With big hopes that the weather will change for the best soon, it's time for me to go and enjoy a hot cup of earl grey. I hope you like the pictures and that they were worth standing in the rain!!!
Have a lovely day!
M.

Creme de la Creme

This turned out to be my favorite travel outfit.
Chunky heel provides comfort even during air travels, the cardigan is essential for layering and a big bag to host all of your carry-on necessities. Bon Voyage!

Fall Callings

WEARING:
PHILLIP LIM DRESS
F21 BAG
NORDSTROM VEST
It's seems like every year the Earth is spinning faster and faster and before we know the fall will be stepping on summer's toes. It's nothing to be afraid of if you are well equipped for the season: earth tones, layers and, of course, great pair of boots should be no strangers to your wardrobe this fall! When picking a pair do not underestimate the comfort: your feet should not suffer while you are running from class to class at school (or from show to show during NYFW!!!).

It's been incredible strolling along the quaint cobbled stone streets of Old San Juan, inhaling amazing aromas from multiple restaurants, and sipping tasty mojitos.
